Wildside offers a safe and exciting way to enjoy Camp Imadene in an outdoor, back to basics Christian environment.
This program is run on our mountain property and is seperate from our main children's camp.
In a small group setting, our campers learn basic camping skills and have the opportunity to enjoy several awesome outdoor activities. Each day they will be challenged to explore their adventurous side, while encountering the beauty of God's Creation.
Campers will experience caving, rappelling, rock-climbing plus many more activities around the lake. Our professionally trained staff will ensure safety is first during this week of unbelievable memories, as they sleep, cook, and survive in God's beautiful creation.

Wild Camps:
Come be a part of our original base camp program! An action packed week where campers will have the opportunity to participate in a new adventure each day. Your Wild camp will include a day of caving, rock climbing, canoeing, rappelling and so much more!
Family Adventure Camp:
Families get to experience the best Wildside has to offer!
Come camp on site and take part in our adventure based, all inclusive family vacation. You and your family can choose when to jump into adventure and when to sit back and enjoy our private, lake front property.

Women's Sea Kayak Trip
Come be a part of this guided sea kayaking adventure!
As an introductory level trip this is a great opportunity for paddlers of all skill levels to enjoy the Southern Gulf Islands from the cockpit of a double kayak. Guides will take care of all the cooking, cleaning and on water experiences. You simply sit back, relax and enjoy a weekend on the water with friends!

Program Description:
The Guide Leadership Training Program is designed to train up young, Christian leaders and enable them to work effectively within the outdoor ministry/recreation industry. The course will take place between June 29 -July 10, 2020 and will give participants opportunities to learn through classroom, hands on and in field experiences. The GLT program will include 90 plus hours of training for participants. Upon completion of the program participants will have the skills required to work as an apprentice guide with the Wildside program.
Program Components:
Please Note: 2020 Certificates are still being confirmed. Below are certificates offered in 2019
- Horizontal Cave Guide Training: 2 days
- Lake Canoe Certification: Introduction and Intermediate Skill Levels
- Rock and Rappel Training: 2 day rock climbing, rappelling and belaying course.
- Standard First Aid: First Year Participants Only. Still to be confirmed for 2020
- Advanced Wilderness First Aid: 4 days of training through Ridge Wilderness Adventures
- Biblical Leadership Development: The heart of a guide and Biblical basis for wilderness ministry
- Guide Practice and Procedure: Participants will go learn various hard and soft skills that are foundational to outdoor leadership.
Apprentice Guide Opportunity:
Upon graduation from the GLT program graduates may have the chance to work alongside the Wildside guide team throughout the 2020 season. In this role participants will be given the opportunity to put their training into practice and operate as apprentice guides under the leadership of the Wildside director and lead guides.
Desired Outcomes:
Each participant will walk away having grown their sense of adventure, love of creation and of the Creator. Participants will come away with a deeper understanding of Scripture and the role that they play as shepherds to those they lead. They will be put in situations that will stretch them physically, mentally and spiritually. Participants will cultivate a respect for creation and others while growing in their desire and ability to competently lead others in various outdoor adventure contexts.
